Chronical
Just standing in front of the Gasthof zur Post transports you back to another era. A 12 metre long painting from 1618 stretches above the entrance door. It tells a hunting tale from days past. Parts of the facade are over 700 years old and are a good example of the fascinating craftmanship of the middle ages.
The foundations date back to 1330. In 1415, it was authorized to serve beer there. For a long time the Gasthof was a â€coach inn" hence its name.
In 1999, Katharina and Norbert Leitner took over this traditional hotel.
2004: Conversion and renovation
During the conversion we took special care to make sure that a harmonious overall picture was achieved with all these old and valuable elements. Accordingly, the whole construction is characterised by very often already forgotten building materials such as solid stone, top quality pine, heavy marble slabs and considerable amounts of wood and copper fittings.
